I am unable to say if its a model or not, but it certainly is different!
Have a look at
http://www.littlebrig.com/about.html
There must be a lot of hulls which would convert into this kind of square-rigger

Looking round the website I can see it is a 'real' boat and has a crew of five. It is designed for teaching junior sailors (about 10 yr old) and they run training days. sounds like good fun.
They say that small sails means small loads so small people can haul the rigging with ease.

O.K. Those are great looking brigs but how about 3 and 4 foot brigs. To see some somewhat bigger ones go to
<modelsailingships>
I sailed the brig twice. It is great. Bring your money tho!
Who is building a 4 foot brig, or ship or bark?

for the ramblings of a Mayhem/boats/scale boats/square-riggers virgin
