Earlier this year I was asked to tow what is called a high ball target, in the 1980's it had a large red ball on top about 4 ft dia. I thought some of you with naval tugs may be interested in a couple of photo's of it, sorry the pics are not the best, but my computer had a funny turn and wiped about 80% of the card. The float is about forty foot long and is towed 1000m astern, secured to a convenient bollard. The bridle shackles on under neath the floats about 2 ft back from the front of the floats.
