Today I have been trying to sort out the servos and wiring in my boat before the decks are glued down, so I had the tx and rx switched on for about half an hour, although the motors were not run, at the end of this time the speed controller was quite hot, is this normal, if so it must mean that the controller is pulling amps while in the neutral position or am I wrong on that?.
The speed controller is held in position with Velcro on its underside and I was thinking of putting a perspex cover over the controller and receiver to keep out water, maybe not a good idea.
Posted two pics (I hope) any suggestions for altering the setup or anything else would be appreciated as once the decks are glued down that's my lot

I know it looks a mess, but I do know what they all the wires are for, I think.
