Boating lake Photo's
« on: November 07, 2008, 11:56:46 pm »

Have any Mayhemmers wondered what other individuals or clubs Lakes or ponds look like? I thought i might start the ball rolling with the famous New Brighton Lake. Probably with the most picturesque scene of any Lake. Unless of course you know better! (the other martin)

Well, we do see REAL ships coming and going, nither do we get our feet wet and muddy or have to bend down to put the model in the water.

It is due for replacement soon anyway.

I dare't post picks of Fleetwood lake..............must be the grot spot of the north at the moment.
No wonder the local council are making moves to fill in the paddling pool at the end for a children's play area right next to a 5 foot deep lake.....Health and safety...now there's good town and country planning for you. :embarrassed: {-) %%what planet do these councillors that make the decissions live on.I ask you??? >>:-( >>:-(

My impression is that the newBrighton photo is taken at least 30 ft in ther Air and I do not recall a tower there .

Probably from one of the blocks of flats across the road.

That big lake is certainly magnificent, plenty of long voyages to be undertaken there but, i doubt if you will get proper seagoing conditions as on Windermere. Lots of lakes like that in oz as well, every time i mentioned it in her earshot, the reply was along the lines of was that all I thought of, little did she know.................. ;)

Possibly but from the angle of the shot I would say Unlikely , the nearest block is over a quarter of a mile away, just wondered if it was taken using one of those flycam2 cameras and a helicopter or something as it seems a pretty good shot..Come on Garston spill the beans.

Not good enough quality for a Fly-Cam but an R/C heli or a mast or pole is my bet.  The photo in my last post was taken from a remotely piloted vehicle (model plane :embarrassed:)
