Barry,
There's a name from the past. I haven't seen sight or sound of him for a while, having said that I am not the most regular attending member. Do you remember the fabulous 'Titanic' which he built. It was a featured item in a newspaper, when on its maiden voyage it lost control and ran into some overhanging 'weeping willow' branches on the opposite side of the lake before hitting the concrete bank. Fortunately the damage was not to severe, and Fred ironed out the snags. This was a fabulous model and I managed to snap the camera. Somewhere I still have this pic and I will post when found.
Do you remember the previous club which sailed either vane or braine racing yachts, before the days of r/c? This was before the 1960's, and the concrete banks where made.
Tony.
