As you say, a really lovely stretch of water - and a cameraman with supreme optimism in finding wreckage.

Reminds me of a time in my "yoof" when my father and I had assembled a rubber-powered Lancaster-like plane and I was eager to show my Grandad - some 100 miles distant, a long journey with no dual carriageways.

When we stopped for a picnic, I insisted on a practice flight. A gust of wind caused a 90 degree roll with a wire-strand fence immediately ahead: the severed wings and fuselage were parted forever.

Such are the scars of a modellers life!

This if not Deliberate, was a bit stupid to fly the helicopter over water , However What could he have done once it went paired shaped .  For one I would not have recommended the operator or camera person to go jumping into water they may not know.

SWMBO does out door swimming for Fun !! nice looking waters even though inviting can be extremely cold, even in the hight of Summer.
