Hi Mikeflyer ,i have built my own version from Model slipway  and i was advised to fit a pair of 6-1 geared mfa motors ,if you do then replace the supplied props with brass ones as i found them underpowered .
I have since replaced the geared ones with direct drive but kept the original props and they work fine , when i get mine back in the water after a refit i will be doing some towing so the choice is yours ,well this choice .
I am sure the guys on here will be more than willing to give you more information and choices  :-)) .

...PortsideII..

What height is there from the bottom of the hull to the underside of the Towing Deck...

I am planning on fitting 2 Hectoperms in my boat & was just wondering if there will be enough room for them...

nice work there bosun , i think it looks better without the crane .
A few Q's , have you changed the props ,if so how many blades , and do you have any probs with such a big arm on the steering servo.

Hy Daz
I changed the props for brass, 50mm  four bladed,  and strenghtened the rudder fittings. I have,nt had a problem with the big servo arm, it is a little longer because it is working a micro switch running two firemontors. I am still undecided on the crane, I know that is how it is on the real vessel, but it just does,nt work for me, I might try a working capstan instead, at the moment I am working on an e
Empire class from MS, will post a few pics of my winter projects.
