Am I missing something; date on OP is 13 Dec 2008 that's 10 years ago. Is this an old post or has the computer been at the xmas sherry  :police: :police: :police: :police:

No, not for sale!

Someone asked for video / pics of the Deans Marine HMS Fencer british Aircraft carrier... and there was already a topic with the right name!   :-))

Stan:
I have a Fencer kit lurking some were bought many years ago just maybe one day I will start construction. It would great to build a second escort carrier to go with Gambier Bay 2019 it may happen.

I'm building a version based on scaling up a 1/700 plastic kit.  Unlike the Deans kit which is at the awkward 1/96 scale mine is 1/144 so I can have 4 Sea Hurricanes, 6 Fulmars and 2 Swordfish on deck.  A carrier with no aircraft looks a bit naked.

Stan:
In relation to your comments on 1/96 scale I disagree it is not awkward scale there are many fine fittings out to super detail your model. Most model rc warships kits are built to this scale or 1/128 some at 1/144 even 1/200. My Gambier Bay does have 1/96 scale aircraft and should the Fencer be built it will be USS Copahee which spent most of time moving aircraft around the Pacific. A selection of 1/100 aircraft scale will be used on this model. I do agree models at 1/96 are large but you payes your money and makes your choice. Hope you build goes well any pictures? Sorry just checked some good gun kits for 1/144 scale
