My Winter Projects
« on: December 13, 2008, 11:40:32 pm »

Hy Guys
I have been working in the shed most of the day on my Empire tug, I realised when I took some pics  I never seem to finish them to completion, (are they ever finished) How many of you guys have half, or nearly finished boats that are just sitting on the shelf.
I thought I would post a couple of pics.
Boats to be finished are
Boston typhoon,,,, cant find the trawl doors, and the rigging needs finishing,
Nangee,,,, needs a bit of touching up on the paint work
Dutch Courage ,,,,actually finished apart from deck clutter
Smit Japan ,,,, to be started
Scratch built tug,,,, needs ballasting and testing
Scrath built Fishing boat , needs new motor, esc ect
Under the benches are four tug hulls to be started, and six various fishing boat hulls to be started,
Empire Tug ,,, just started,,,,, not forgetting my Imara and Peggy that are in the house. I will have to buckle down and finish some of them.
Pics are not in order, bit like my shed.

Bosun,

I usually finish my projects (eventually), it's the running repairs that seem to slip off the end of the to do list. My Sea Queen and Sentinel need some TLC and have done for a month or more. Too cold in the workshop at the moment (that's my excuse), although I did make it to the lake today (still defrosting my toes).

Your shed looks like my ideal santa's grotto.  :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

All the best

Doug

Hy Mark
How you doing,?
Thats one of your MMB smoke units in the Boston Typhoon. I have put some very small mesh over the funnel top to diffuse it a little, it seems to work well. Just neeeds ballasting before I take her out and try her.
Your welcome to call over anytime, just give us a ring. (so I can tidy up)

Hi Bosun,

Your wokshop is a tad small, this is where the boats are stored,
there are over thirty around the room, thats not counting the
seven in the house or the six in the workshop section of the
shed........ :-)) :-))

PS My wife Gwen also owns three boats of her own

Hy Roy
Your workshop is looking good mate, boats look great, but as someone said one time " it's not the size that matters it's what you do with it" :-)) :-)) (only jokeing, or at least I hope she was) {-)
