Ship memorabilia
« on: December 16, 2008, 06:01:49 pm »

Hi all a friend of mine has a load of old ship memorabilia  Ie QE2 launch program both versions Queen Elizabeth and Mary  dinner  menus etc etc. He is looking to find out what there worth and sell them may be as he is aware that top prices are hard to archive in these hard times we how have. If any one knows of any auction house or companies that deal in this stuff or web sites i would be most great full .

Hiya, you'd be surprised how little things like menus  are worth, a pound or two at most, unless as you can probably guess the ship has met with disaster or wasn't around long. The most valuable thing you've got is the QE2 Launch program, but even now is only worth around ten pounds. I've been collecting memorabilia for years now and the things to invest in are ships pin badges, cutlery, tableware and the three F's, flags fittings and furniture. I hope that helps.
