Finishing process steps...
« on: December 27, 2008, 03:29:15 am »

Hi :
I have a 2.7 mm luanne plywood hull, how should the steps progress  for finishing.
I have heard to fill and sand, that seems right. Then paint ,epoxy resin first, then paint that, epoxy last....
I'm trying to get a steel hull look when finished.
Help appreciated.

Fill and fair till smooth
Either epoxy coat the whole hull OR use sanding sealer to seal the wood
Apply primer,rub down till smooth
Apply topcoat of the colour of your choice
Award yourself a beer when finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the process steps...
I won't forget the last and final step, the pint.
Thanks very much.
