Just thought I would pass this on. Found it while looking for details of German S-boats sailng under the Danish Flag.
So if you are looking for something different to do with you s-boat, how about an s-boat sailing under the White Ensign?

Thanks for this interesting information, were any of the Schnell Boots captured during the war? Yes I needed help, thanks for the note that the Google Translator works. Does any body know how much of there original armaments they carried at this point in there career?

Useful stuf like what where and whn together with why.
A brief out line that is of most interest to most is that apart from Germany seizing most of the Danish MTB's whislt Denmark was occupied during WWII !
At the end of the war, Denmark got two Vospers, from England, and a licence to build more. The S-boats where given to Denmark from the collective spoils of war, by the good ol US of A, bless em.

Its all pretty interesting stuf and would recomend a visit to the site.

Also did you know that there is a fully equiped "Vosper" (danish built) in the museum in Aaborg.

I don't believe that the Allies used any captured s-boots in the war except for a sunken one that was raised for evaluation.

Given S-130's history: Kriegsmarine, Royal Navy, MI6, Bundesmarine, even as a private houseboat... she certainly offers some interesting options for any modeler.  She is now owned by the Wheatcroft Collection & undergoing a full restoration - they'll using a raised Danish Zobel schnellboot for the mechanicals.  You can learn more of her background as well as follow ongoing restoration updates here:

A bit more diging has uncovered the fact that 10 Elco 80' s where sold/given to the navy in Norway, so that is another option..
I am at this moment awaiting replies from a Museum in Denmark and one in Norway, to find out as much as I can regarding numbers colours, weapons etc.

I'll put any thing I find here.

The Wheatcroft boat is being restored using parts from boats that where scuttled by the Germans at the end of the war. As far as I am aware, is is not the whole boat that is being raised, they are just taking what they need. Not sure if that makes things better or not, but there was quite an uproar when the locals found out about the plans to raise "their boats"!
The Wheatcroft project is quite interesting and I will be following it along the way.
