Long range forecast for 2009
« on: December 31, 2008, 11:17:31 am »

I see that they are forecasting that 2009 will be one of the warmest on record - it needs to get going quickly as its -4C here this am! Anyway, I'm taking no chances - I'm off to Australia and New Zealand for 8 weeks to make sure I get some sun in 2009 %%

Happy New Year - let's hope they are right.

Unfortunately I'm not leaving until February 9th - got to suffer this current ice age first! Still it will feel even better when I do get there :-))

Barriew, at the moment the weather is perfect, a maximum forecast for today of 33 celsius, but rain for a few days after that. New Year's Eve was the best weather I can remember for many years, crystal clear, cloudless skies, and about 24 C.

I hope you enjoy your visit here.

Peter.

Thanks Peter - I start in Melbourne so I think it should be warm there - was 34 C last time I was there in 2004.
