Even though I don't own one of these, I did live in Viet Nam a couple of years ago, and some of their boats are very well made. Can't vouch for this one though.
You can order direct from most of the Vietnamese factories, simply google for web-sites. Most of the big factories are very good and will ship well packaged. The Riva also comes in various sizes, and if you ask them they will also leave hatches loose (instead of glued down) so you don't damage them when you convert, also applies to rudder posts and prop shafts.
Their usual finish is a clear polyurethane, but glue type unknown (may not be waterproof) however a coat of epoxy inside to seal the wood and your laughing.
