Personally I don't give a rat's armpit what HRH Prince Henry says in public or  in private - but I would  like to see a photo of him printed next to one of James Hewitt.......  %)

Robertson's - yes.

In the old days when I were but a lad, they used to put paper ones behind the labels - save enough of them and you could send away for an enamelled badge version.  You don't see may people wearing them these days though.

This year I got a Christmas card from an American owned company in the UK.
On the cover was a picture of a sprig of holly and the words "Happy Holiday". Inside there was nothing but the signature.
Now I find THAT offensive  >>:-(

I remember at one place I worked at we had a team leader who was known as Abdul or the Black B****d, no he was'nt a blackman or a Arab but a white who just loved his holidays in the sunnier climates, of which he seemed to have lots of??? ,or when he was not away he always on the sunbed, were he often fell asleep with the inevitable dire consequences. Even coloured people there could often be heard to say, ave you seen BB anywere. One Indian guy was known as onion as onion bardgi and someone known as desh cause he came from Bangladesh, it all seemed to be just light hearted and everyone got along with no prejudices. :} :} :-))

are the aussies racist when thay call us poms

Of course not. If we were regarded as racist for calling the English "Poms", then the poms could be called racist for referring to us as "Aussies", which would be ludicrous. In my book, 'foreign' is simply an abbreviation of Pakistani, as was mentioned above, as Aussie is of Australian etc etc etc. When the Pakistan cricket team tour Australia, they are regularly referred to as Pakis in the press, and as far as I am aware, they have never taken offence at the term. It is not intended to be derogatory, nor is it taken as such.

Yet another example of PC gone mad, or Royal bashing, or both.

Peter.

If 'Black board' is no longer allowed.... what are we to call the 'Black country'? (Part of the West Midlands)

Someone should tell the BBC...

When I was building for a living a great number of my clients were Jewish in the St Johns Wood area of London.
At Christmas they sent and received Christmas Cards something the PC brigade would be up in arms about.
They also were not adverse to the odd bacon sarny either.
Back before do gooder time. <*<

What a nasty sad little nation this has become, they have been on and on about this dross for the past two days and i see our illustrious leader has been wasting some oxygen on it on tv tonight. I did the best thing anyone could do in the circumstances, I turned him off halfway through his drivel. I think it has all been exploded out of all proportion and can only think it is being used as a smokescreen to take our minds off the failing state of the economy for five minutes, whilst at the same time, indoctrinating the nation with yet another 'thing we can't say out loud'
I hear the 1st world war veteran Harry Stone has finally passed away aged 108, I wonder what he thought about the state we're in today.
Harry, if you're up there, thank you for fighting for our freedom, our country, for which you fought, was considerably more free then than it is now!
The best thing all of us can do when this rubbish hits the headlines is refuse to by the papers.
