Small pulley blocks approx. 2 or 3mm?
« on: January 11, 2009, 07:13:52 pm »

Hi
anyone know a supplier of cast pulley blocks about 2 or 3mm high? They don't have to be working but I'd prefer it if I could still get cord around them. I will drill this passage if needed.

The smallest practically would be a 2mm pulley wheel with some sort of strap/surround around it that would hang it. These are for a naval warship but anything 20century 'maritime' would do as long as it's not recognisably  'period wooden ship' type.

From what I can tell of RN type pulley blocks, it's just a bare pulley wheel with some sort of rod/bar strap to connect the axle to the ring (what it hangs off. Sorry for the non-maritme terminoly)

Thanks

Good stuff here but dear and the postage might prohibit it.

Worth a look around their stock. Click on the sail boat for marine fittings.

Cheers Lads, a fair bit f choice then.

Seaspray, the polish site, is that guy doing COMPLETE armament (both main & secondary) barrels for 8 euros a set? That can't be right, can it? Surely it'll be 8 euros a item? But then that doesn't sit right as main & secondary are illustrated in the one image with 1 price.

Has anybody used RB Model and recieved thier order?
A freind of mine placed an order last month. And we have heard nothing, they may be slow, or they may be unwilling to send stuff to China.
Maybe no problem, but I thought I wold give folks the heads up.

Hi TCC
Best check with him about that.  But he does comfirm prices,  if you ask/say what you want + postage. I get regular emails s from him of latest offers and new stock.

TT
He is a bit slow but I took it he made the fittings himself to order at his workshop. Did you look at the machines in his workshop by browsing his site. I've received 3 orders to date. I think once he knows you it a faster service. He will acknowledge your order and give you an order number, also keep you update about your order.

At the prices he is charging, I thought maybe he was knocking them off at work. Slack time and/or maybe the bosses materials.
I know this used to happen a lot at Quinten Hazels, when they were still around.

Could be, I did make enquiries at redbank models (Garry) and didn't get any joy, or I would have bought them there . I think it was the size that wasn't in stock
