Motors for a 1/16 scale Arun
« on: March 04, 2009, 07:18:18 am »

At present there are 2 x 12v hectoperms installed in this boat being renovated by a friend. As he has no internet he has asked me to see if these are a good recommended combination, or should he look at changing them for something else.

The model is a 1/16 scale Arun which has been scratch built

thanks

I imagine the Arun is a similar size to the Trent and Tamar, so a pair of Graupner Speed 600 ECO  motors might suit this well. Run them on 8.4 or 9.6V.
Hectaperms sound a bit heavy and would really need a SLA battery (more weight).

Suit yourself.
