pdf creator Anyone use it ?
« on: January 16, 2009, 01:26:22 am »

I received an email with a Power Point display of pic's of Space Shuttle Discovery, starting with Tugs towing a barge with the main fuel tank with many pic's from assembly through to launch and thought many of us would enjoy.
If not anyone interested PM me your email address.

You could host it on another site as a slide show, and then provide a link in a post on here.

I am not sure if Photobucket has a slide show option.

If you wanted to post individual PPT slides on here, then you can convert then to JPEG of GIF format first.
This is easy to do, open in PPT and save as JPEG or GIF, and select to save the whole presentation.

You would then need to uplaod the slides on here individually.

An easy way is to convert the .ppt file to a PDF then you can post on the forum rather than host elsewhere.

I've used this in the past http://www.nitropdf.com/promotions/ms-office.htm?gclid=CMjh1_7MkpgCFUoa3godxxX-lw

I know this may be a tad late but can you not
Open power point then select new select the ppp file you have
then it should have a pane to the left with ALL the pictures in the presentation
click on the pictures one a t a time and save as (file name of your choice) then you will have an album to post from

I have done this before

R,

Another way to do this is to open the presentation and then select "save as" then "other formats" then .jpg and save.  It will offer an option to save just current slide or all slides.  Select "all slides" and Robert is your Dad's brother.

I've done this when I've wanted to use the slides from a ppt as part of a video of a presentation.

HI ,
I am having trouble with the above software package to create pdf's, has worked fine for the last year but has now decided not to create my pdfs , appears to be no problem , I have downloaded the update etc etc but to no avail..so was wondering does anyone else use this or perhaps can suggest another option..

Thanks in advance

I have it, and no problems.
The best bet is to uninstall it and re-install, just updating might not mend the broken bit.
One that I had on another computer was "CutePDF".  There are other freebies if you look around on sites like www.vnunet.com and www.majorgeeks.com .
One of the saving options in Open Office is "save as PDF" which seems to work.

I had to uninstall it to upload the new version , even tried it twice, it worked fine until the other day !.  I use the save as .pdf  when I send it to print  but this option along with the jpeg and tiff have vanished and it will only save it as a prn (print) file..very strange., thanks for the other links , will check them out.
