Oh dear - I seem to have started something here!. . . .
Good news is, I've got me popcorn ready, and I'll have an ice cream tub at halftime.

I don't think the seagulls would reckon much of having sparrows nesting in George's cabin... <*<

I was hoping to sail the 'Flote over the weekend, but with scale Force 10 waves on the lake and a six foot thick layer of algae in the water, I decided to abort the mission.

Oh ye of little faith...George and the mighty MotorFlote have been in training for the maiden voyage, due to take place this coming Sunday. Weather and algae permitting, of course...I drove past the lake on my way home from the dentist earlier today, and the water looked like thick pea soup. Not ideal conditions, you can see that horrible green stuff floating in the water...good for creating scale scum lines on the hull, but not good for sailing in.

But in order to satisfy you lot and your blood lust...if you behave yourselves, I'll take the 'Flote down to a local stream I know of, and give it a try out there.

Carry on...

   Hi Rich,
They can be really hurtful about the poor old motorfloat don't they realise that you have feelings! Show all the mockers that George rules the waves. Can't wait to see the antics on the water. This post has kept me highly amused from start to finish well done.
       Cheers,
            Faz. :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

Once you get the Scum Line you will have the Waterline.
Hope it's not around the rooftop seagulls ankles  %%
If the stream is fast flowing Rich, don't forget the steering
characteristics of the M flote.
Don't gnash the new gnashers if things are not tickertyboo.

Fear not Ned, it's only a minor ditch really, very rarely does the water move...now and then a swan takes off and disturbs the water, but that's about it.

I'm thinking of fitting George out with a long scarf...and maybe he should have a young lady to accompany him on his travels.  :P

The new teeth are doing well so far, I managed to eat a slice of toast this morning, first time for a long time. And yes, I did save the seagulls a morsel...  %)

Ignore them Faz, for they know not what they do...  ;D

Apologies Dave...our lake is horrible at the moment with the dreaded green stuff, there's no way I'm putting a boat into that green soup. Plus... COPD and hot weather don't go together, I haven't been able to breathe properly for a few days now, so what with the weather, the water and my lungs, I've hardly stuck my nose out of the door recently.

Sorry again, boys n' girls...once the weather changes, the water clears, and I can breathe, I'll be getting the 'Flote wet.
