Today I made and fitted the companionway handrails and painted all the handrails.

I then made a start on the masts and rigging.

Completed the rigging.

Completed the tarpaulin on the hold ( thanks John )

Better slow down as I shall soon be finished and I dont want another bo**ocking from the wife because I'm gaining on her wages.

I wasn't really watching Alan Titchmarsh, honest.

Hey there Dicky, we gotta slow you doon - that build is looking really good my mate.

Well done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Further to our conversation earlier  :-)) :-)) have you ever thought about building a model of an offshore diving vessel - I was thinking along the lines of 'The Seaforth Clansman' plan number is MM1308 - I do know you can purchase a styrene hull for this model and that would overcome one of the drawbacks which we discussed.

The reason I was thinking of the Seaforth Clansman for you - is - it has plenty of scope in it - i.e. you could have the crane working; the diving bell operating as well - she has a moon pool - plus the fact she also has bow/stern thrusters along with Kort nozzles - these you could have operating independently - she also has fire monitors - if you wanted to build her with them operating.

Lot of variety/working features here - which could be built into this model....plus the good side IT WILL SLOW YOU DOWN  %%

A lot of this model could be scratch built too.

Thanks chaps.
Don't know what I might do next as I have got to let the wifes wages catch up with my spending Ken.
I think she thinks 10 boats in two years is enough for anyone.
We will see. ;)

For some reason she had a slight list to port when floated, so she spent the morning with a screwdriver wedged under the prop shaft.

I know that feeling, I have had to order a battery from component shop that is stacked like a pyramid of barrels so I can get weight OUT of Nord Icelandia.  I need to get the CG changed, replace the battery in Nord Icelandia with a 5cell ni-cad type and maybe 3 small lead plates the same area of the face of the gel cell, loose around 100g, (weight of a 4cell AA pack, and the lead plates on the floor will get the weight lower down.
