... married the wrong woman and don`t divorced earlier
... spend too much money on lazy pleasures
... don`t graduated at High-School
... spend too much time in the office for a career, which never had come true and neglected therefor my family.

... lot`s of things, we regret. But as long as we are aware WHAT we regret, we can`t get wrong the next time... (if we have the choice)...

Up to you, buddies...

I don't have regrets and I rarely look back. Most of my major success/opportunities in life have been when I have said "yes" without really thinking.

But then I suppose when I said yes and nothing happened, nothing happened. When I said no, I don't regret it because I don't look back and certainly never go back.

I don't suppose I'd have done the same thing the way the other guy who said yes did, anyway.

Like many, I regret staring smoking bit rejoice in stopping in 1978!

Good topic, though!

I'm a contented person what is there to regret . If my life had gone down another path , which it could have done then I may have regreted what might have been.

Better not try the "Crunch Corners" then PMK - or life won't be worth living  %) %)

I try to be a 'half full' kinda bloke, so have no real regrets.
The time MAY come when I regret something but I'm not going to waste my last breath saying "I wish ....."  :-))

I think mine was never seeing Queen with Freddy Mercury live in concert. <:( <:( <:(

Had the chance to go to Live Magic at Wembley - Knocked it back for a trip to an old firm game at Ibrox & a night out in Glasgow! - thought I'd get another chance to see them.

... folks, I think you`ll agree that all that we have done (or not) in the past had made us what we are now. Every morning, you look in the mirror and if you can`t stand what you see there- there must be something in the past you have to regret.

If you can stand for what you have done and keep that look in the mirror, there is nothing to regret.
We would not be, what we are now- if we don`t had made the experiences in the past. So a regret, how ever he may look like- keeps the activity of having minds and using the brain. Then, out of this- the question tuns from "What do you regret" into "what would I have made different either". Thinking about how to avoyd what had happened in the past is a substantial progress.
To regret is a matter of fact, which will not happen necessarily.
To think about what to change- a obvious conclusion out of regret, which needs a brain to be done.

As they say here: every damage will keep a kind of advantage in itself.

Just my penny...

Very philosophic topic... like it  <*<

I had 2 tickets for Queens last concert at Wembly and couldn't get transport down so sold them...... , but my biggest regret of all time was not writing down all of the stories of the fishing and WW2 that my Grandfather had told me before he passed away.

Regrets, Ive had a few;
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course;
Each careful step along the byway,
But more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

Yes, there were times, Im sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew.
But through it all, when there was doubt,
I ate it up and spit it out.
I faced it all and I stood tall;
And did it my way.

Ive loved, Ive laughed and cried.
Ive had my fill; my share of losing.
And now, as tears subside,
I find it all so amusing.

To think I did all that;
And may I say - not in a shy way,
No, oh no not me,
I did it my way.

For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself, then he has naught.
To say the things he truly feels;
And not the words of one who kneels.
The record shows I took the blows -
And did it my way!
I Thangyou

The most recent regret was driving a tad too quickly down the A9 at Bankfoot.   It was all her fault,   she's  a cliff richard fan and I was carting her down to a concert of his in Glasgow last September.   £60 and 3 points.       Would it be wrong to put black sticky tape over the camera lens?

Seems a bit excessive - £60 to get in is one thing, but 3 points on her licence   %)  Is Rod Stewart worth 9 points ??

Would it be wrong to put black sticky tape over the camera lens?

It certainly would be wrong, Taxi  :o  Apparently the best thing is a tyre filled with petrol and set on fire  {-) {-)
Not that I would ever condone such action  :police:

Hi Danny, the £60 was the fine, and I had bought the tickest as a present for her.    I dropped her off with her sister and went to supermarket for a few tins of Guinness.   The letter arrived a couple of weeks later much to my disgust.   Good idea about the tyre though, but I could not bring myself to do such a terrible thing  :-X
