Another newbee (to boats anyway)
« on: February 27, 2009, 04:49:52 pm »

Hi all,
Just joined the forum, I have always had a interest in model boats and today I finally succumbed as I came out off my local model shop having bought a tinlet of Humbrol paint for my model railway interest. In the shop he had the Thunder Tiger Lobmaster RTR for £110. I shot home did a bit of research on the net which led me here and I read the excellent review of the model on this forum. It does seem excellent value for a beginner. I then shot back into town and handed over my cash and i'm now the proud owner of a Lobmaster. I will be asking lots of questions because although its RTR I will want to detail and weather it as I do with my railway. The first question is what scale do you reckon it is so I can start hunting for detailing parts and figures. Any way thats enough waffle for now and for anyone interested my model railway website is here  http://www.holland-park.co.uk

If you measure the wheelhouse door height and call that somehere around 6FT to 7FT you can work the scale out from that. :-))
