« on: March 10, 2009, 02:57:28 pm »

Hi,
I'm new to forums of any kind, but can anyone out there help me please?
I'm looking for a Clyde Puffer Steam Winch/Windlass in 1/24 scale.
I've read the detailed build of one on the Model Boat Mayhem,
which is just what I'm looking for, but I just cannot seem to find the supplier.
Iv'e spent hours on Google!!
Can anyone please help me?
Many Thanks

Jotika/caldercraft are suppliers of the old Caldercraft puffer, and they sell parts seperately. google them for a result. :-))

Caldercraft dont do a 1:24 scale winch, Try Mount Fleet Models as they make the 1:24 scale Puffer.

Spiderman Sue Hinchcliffe at Mountfleet does not use e-mail very regularly so I would definately give her a call.

Just to prepare you though I also know that she does not normally sell individual parts from kits in an attempt to prevent them from being copied but you might be lucky and a call would be a much better means of discussing your requirements.

Many Thanks Bunkerbarge,
Ive just phoned Mountfleet Models but unfortunately they only supply full boat kit.
So it looks like I will have to scratch build the winch as well, that going to be a bundle of fun I'm sure.
Anyway many thanks to everyone for there help.
I will try to get a couple of photos on there when I work it out.
John.
