I have decided to make a start on my harbour tug moudlings, I think I bought it from Wearboats last year but cannot be certain, it measures 42" x 12". I am looking for inspiration for this model so was hopeing that someone else has made a model on here and could post some photos. Secondly, as it will have 2 large props in kort nozzles I would like advice for a pair of suitable motors, I have one MFA 975D41 which has a 4:1 gearbox, runs between 6-12v and at 12v the RPM is 1750, would a pair of these be suitable ???

I have attached a few photos hopeing someone will identify this hull.

As always, comments, suggestions & photos will be most welcome.

I am hopeing to have it ready to take to Glasgow in June to enter in a towing competition.

Dan, Have a look at the "HILLSIDER" ...
I dont know where she is based now, But used to be on the Tyne...
I will send you pictures of her if i can find them...

This looks like a good hull & Deckhouse moulding for a tug similar to this...

NoMustangMark has some superb motors for sale.
On 6 volts about 4000 rpm (similar Deccaperm speed).
Direct drive would be fine.
They are comparable to Graupner 900's so very powerful.
