Finally, the Amsterdam is in the water
« on: March 22, 2009, 09:41:15 pm »

Hi Mayhemers,
most of the ice is out and I put my Amsterdam in the pond for the first time and she runs great. Using the bow thruster is definitely a big help steering her backwards. Anyway, I know all of you like pictures. Here we go:

Hi dantheman,
thanks for the compliment. The Amsterdam is 106cm long and the motor is a Robbe EF76 with a 3:1  gearbox on 12V ( would run fine on 6V too).

Hi Wilhelm,
Your Amsterdam is looking great on the water. Hope to see it in person in the summer.

She looks super and you seem to have good pressure from the fire monitors.  Well done.

Fire monitors are great for tickling the unwary public at pond side on a run day   %)

Hi,
I am surprised how good the fire monitors work. This is the first time I put them in a tug. The Graupner 12V pump sprays the water about 15 to 18 feet.

Cheers
Wilhelm
