ER, they all have fuel left till the end of the race , so have 20 laps of fuel in above what they would normaly have at the end of a race.

:embarrassed: opps. of course. a few laps of fuel would more than make up for a bit of rubber.

WHAT A LOAD OF RUBBISH,

They knew for 3 days it rained about that time , and they still started the race 1 hour late.

We watch interviews for 1 hour before the race started,  >>:-( >>:-( >>:-( <*< <*<

Although I am a long time fan of F1, I think that it has become a real circus. Anyone who has been to Singapore and other points East know, just know, that around 4pm every day you will get a torrential downpour for perhaps an hour. At around 3.30pm ships stop loading / discharging (especially tankers) and covers are placed. Open air "restaurants" pull into shelter. People disappear from the streets. Then "Whoosh" down comes Niagara ( It might be "rain",Jim, but not as we know it...to paraphrase). The only explanation has to be the ignorance / greed and "who cares" attitude of the dwarf and the TV companies. Between them they will kill the Golden Goose. A 10am start would be the best time (in those parts) would be best. BY.

Brian, ARE you saying that the dwarf and the TV companies are not as good as we are lead to believe and cant control the weather.

F1 has become a joke IMHO

It was interesting seeing Raikkonnennkonnennkonnen (I can spell it, its knowing when to stop) smoking to a stop in practice.  Something about water and Italian auto electrics.  Perhaps the Ferrari lot should have a look here for hints and tips.......
The truly dumb aspect of holding the race at that time was, as BY says, the entire world that has access to local knowledge is aware that  around there you can pretty much set your watch by the start time of daily rainfall, and this has been the case since the place was discovered by people from the Western hemisphere.  Starting a max 2 hour race at a time to miss the daily deluge is not rocket science, but if they needed to apply a bit of science, it is possible to delay transmission by an hour or two, and call it "delayed live".  Provided transmission started before the actual event ended, anybody wanting to avoid finding out the result before watching would have a good chance.
Or they could put a great big gazebo over the entire course.  Sort of like the Millennium dome, only useful.
