My only thought was that there is not a curved line anywhere. Everything is a series of slabs and straights. There is no beauty in this. This is a machine, pure, simple and functional. No heart. Who will remember it with any degree of fondness when it's scrapped? Do the "bean counters" really over-rule the designers who wish to make something worth looking at? Perhaps that is why we all have to live with bland buildings, ships that look like a block of cheap flats, old shopping streets that now look the same as every other town you visit. Please let there be more design innovation and a bit of imagination to lift the spirit of those of us who have to live with the results of these designers monstrosities.
