If it was an aircraft, I think the 'U.F.O. in the original pic might be a tailess canard design by an american designer called Bert Routan (Spelling pleece)

He produced a lot of designs of aircraft using this wing layout. They were usually carbon fibre, single seat, lightweight types with a pusher engine in the rear. They are the sort of thing you could build in your garage and there are some flying in this country. I have seen them many times in the past, they are usually quite quick as the design is very slippery.
