Finished at last
« on: May 04, 2009, 09:24:07 pm »

This is my first boat kit apart from a couple of Springers and a coal barge and would not have been completed without all the help from fellow Mayhemers, so thank you all for replies to my queries over the past 18 months, :-)) yes it has taken me that long.

The boat is the Graemsey it is powered by 2x555motors running on 12v jel cells and a Monotronics ESC, there are running lights, Wheelhouse and Saloon lights, deck working lights and search lights controlled with and Action P62 Quadswitch, there is a working ramp coupled with a warning buzzer, lights and ramp working off two small 12v jell cells.
The radio is a Futaba 2.4 six channel

Sunday was it's first taste of water, it performed very well considering the conditions where quite rough

Here are a few photos, thanks in part to my official photographer boatmadman  :D

No comments about swine flue thank you  {-)

Is a swine flue a  b****r to sweep?  :-)

BTW I reckon Miss Piggie's pen needs a net over it otherwise she'll be over the side and swimming for it in no time  :-)

Smashing looking boat BTW

Nonsense Alan , you have done a great job with the model and the photos of her on the water look great too .
Do you have any problems with water ingress over the stern , mine used to wash over the decks from gaps in the door sides .

Hi Daz, no water ingress, which was a surprise as it was a rough day and the decks seemed to be awash most of the time, I was well chuffed when I didn't have to get the stirrup pump out   :}

How long is the voyage going to be? Or is the pig just a bit of cargo?

Just a short one Bryan, the pork, sorry pigs are over the ESC so if it does burn out it will at least smell nice  :-))
