hi my name is kim re-bay side and i have just joined.i model in 1-32 scale and use a  combination of narrow gauge railway  and 1980,s wharf scenes.i am into work barges ,hydraulics, containers, caravans, coal grabs portable equipment, wharves, navigation beacons ,steel wire and just about anything that is used for a working harbour.i use a wide variety of materials and my stuff is 80% scratch built and weathered.i am currently building the model slipway 5 ton atlas crane.i am modifing and weathering it also giving it a bit of personality.
i have been trying to post photoes of my latest diorama-the bone yard all points of the compass but i get a message that the file is too large, what are my options if any.
cheers kim

Thanks for posting that Proteus

The main thing is the picture size. You should reduce it 640x480. Then it should post with no problems.
The MS tool mentioned in the link Proteus put up is a free tool from microsoft.

One trick I have done is to set my camera to 640x480, as I only ever use pictures on line anyway.
I have no need for 6mp  :embarrassed:

there is an easy way and that ie to right click on picture and a box comes up and click on send to , then mail recipreant, an email will come up with the picture in it to send , then just drag it of the email on to desk top and it should be the right size to post.

this is very easy to use. it must be I can use it and it works well       http://bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm

Welcome to the forum, bay side. It's nice to see another Aussie on here to help keep all those pesky Poms in line  ok2 Seriously, though, I'm sure you'll find everyone very helpful, should you need help that is.

I would be interested to see some photos of your work once you know how to post them. If you follow the advice already given, you'll soon sort it out.

Bring it on, Barry  :-))

It should be a good series, I'm looking forward to it. I'm cautiously optimistic, but I'm not putting my house on the Aussies this time.

Indeed they do, and at the moment much better than the Kiwis,  O0 but not as well as the South Africans - at least, in the 1 day format.  :embarrassed:
