Why does nearly everyone that's interviewed on TV/radio start their answer with "Absolutely" these days.???

Sorry if you haven't noticed, but you will now :-))

Or try listening to radio 2 and Ratcliff and Marconi (not spelt correct) the constant speed stammer with "err" makes me just turn off. much the same when an interview is on "absolutely at the end of the day"

While you're counting "absolutely"s on one hand, tot up the number of "obviously"s on the other. Radio 4 floats on 'em!
As regards Benny, whatever he did to us he "acted within the rules and didn't do anything wrong".

Amen.

The one the Motor racing drivers use all the time is "For sure" at the end of the day.

"For sure" is much used by the Italians (Forr surre, I am veree appee)(Only he wasn't last weekend cos he changed to dry tyres too early) - I think it's a translation of "e vero" or summat forrin.

The one i have noticed is people explaining things starting with:

"The thing is....."

Amazing how often I hear it used (including myself).

I do prefer it to:

 "Like really innit yeah".

That annoys me because they actually CHOOSE to talk like that. And that concludes todays grumpy speech from me.
