Anyone got any ideas as to what motor would be suitable to run my Victor? I have a standard 540 or an ultra powerful 550 (the one that came out of that old B&D drill I found) size to choose from...

Big old barge like that, something torquey and slow revving. I go to the breakers for big stuff- heater blower motors etc.
Cheap and better quality than many model motors. Another good source are powered golf caddy motors.
