Several weeks ago someone was asking for info on fireboat39.

At the time I got in touch with Hampshire Fire and Rescue and spoke to Deputy Chief Officer Alan House who is their history man.
He told me that they were extremely busy at the time but would see what he could do.

Today these turned up in the post.

Acceptance trials May 1963





Dinghy added October 1967





1986 just before decommissioning







Built for Southampton Fire Brigade in 1963.

Transferred to Hampshire Fire Brigade in April 1974.

Decommissioned on 30th September 1986

Thats a blast from the past ,used to see it moored as I got off the Hythe Southampton Ferry .
Maybe thats the next model .
