Looking for plans for 'Inshore Trader'
« on: October 13, 2006, 03:33:47 pm »

Hi all, I asked this question on the Model Boats forum but had no response so here goes again.
I have a rather splendid 80% built model of Inshore Trader.  A Horizon kit from 10 years ago.  The company traded from 27, Collier Road Hastings.
I have the instructions but no plans.  I would also be interested in photographs of a finished model  as it is the deck detail and rigging detail I need.  Hull is finished.
Perhaps someone who has built the Inshore Trader can confirm that there were plans and if anyone has a set I would very much like to borrow them and then return them so that the model can be finished.  I will pay all expenses of course.
regards to all, Roy

I googled it and all I could come up with was this link

http://www.marinemodelmagazine.com/back_issues/MMPG%20p68.pdf

Somewhere on the sheet is a reference to it, the back order may be out of stock, but someone may have one and they can copy the article for you.

You a should also try posting under some one of the general chat forums on this site. They get a lot more traffic than 'scale sail'

Sorry I can't be more help

Hi Tigertiger.
Thanks for your interest.  I found the review in May and June 1996  issues of Marine Modelling.  I have all the MMI's  filed away in my garage!!!  For some reason I did not look there for a review, so many thanks again, there is enough there for me to finish the model.
It is nice to be able to put up a query and get someone interested enough to respond and it shows what a nice bunch of guys you are out there.
Regards to all Roy
