Now Then young Nathan
Take a look at the build so far. Primer paint coat in the next few days so now you have to make your mind up what colours you want me to paint it.
All the drive gear from Mayhemers donations should be here this week so I can start fitting all the ruining gear very soon. And before you ask NO YOU CAN'T have it till after the Mayhem weekend in Aug which is approx 53 days away.

Martin. Do you have any Model boat Mayhem stickers that can go on the Hull??

No Stickers Bill but I can easily print some up and laminate them, what do you want on them?
I've also got a couple of new 6v 4Ah batteries for the cause!

Nathanbint, we don't want to see this boat on ebay or anything like that!  <*<

Not ignoring the extreme generosity of Bill but isn't this defeating one of the primary reasons for Springers - namely as an introduction to building things yourself.

It would seem that not every one can put hand to tools and build a Springer for themselves.  If you read the tread from the start it was suggested that he did build it himself or with the help of his parents. However both did not have the skills hence the offer to build him one. Many Mayhemers have freely given parts to get this boat on the water and will be given a chance to check it over at the LLanberis meeting in Aug this year.

Like I said to you DO NOT use it in the Bath. If the prop comes in contact with the FG it well mark it / put a hole in it. I know I have been there and my wife is only just talking to me now. Try your local lake out or pond it you have one.

I am not sure if you have ever been on a Model boat Mayhem weekend? I have been to Llanberis last year and the last two Wicksteed park events. I have stayed/ camped on site during the weekend. I found Friday nights fish and chips paid for by Martin very enjoyable free! Loads of beer came my way Free! Free use of the water!  Bar b q free! and the level of fun and company just has to be experienced. We are all mad about model boats of all shorts. Thats why I have made this boat, to give something back into Mayhem + I like building boats a much as running then. If you have not tried a Mayhem weekend why NOT!

.... bunch of drunks on standby!

See you there tomorrow!

I will rest my case, and have another beer.

OK the day has dawned when all the paint was dry all the motor and radio (all be it a Temporary radio fitted) battery's charged and ready to go. So off to the lake with springer, camera in hand. Yep he it works. I was going to break out the shampoo but it will have to be a Fosters later.
Many Thanks to Phil, Brian, and other for given parts to build it up this far.
Anyway have a look at the video  and see what you think.

Got to get some LEDs in it now for the night sail at Llanberis. I have found Maplins do a nice strip of 12 volt LEDs. If anyone would like to donate some i will post the maplin part number after this post. Nathen you still can't have it till after Llanberis, so DON'T ASK. :-)) :-))
