I didn't get the "Theremin player" quote

so I looked it up on Wikepedia - here's the result:-

an early electronic musical instrument controlled without physical contact by the thereminist (performer). It is named after the Westernized name of its Russian inventor, Léon Theremin, who patented the device in 1928

Yes and no. It occurred to me it looks like he's playing one of those electronic 'wave your hand near the pole' instruments, but didn't understand the Theremin references until Capt Podge's post a couple above.

Season 2 they switched to a woman singing.

Perhaps the Theramin was considered too communist and so it was replaced with a good capitalist woman singer!

Them theramins are more complicated than I expected.

when I put a large space between the lines, the submit removed them, should have put OR, apologies - I know if it was australia it a cyclone by its other name
