Does anyone know if Unibond exterior wood glue is waterproof? It says it is weatherproof, but that to me is`nt waterproof. I don`t want the boat to start falling apart mid voyage.  Pete

Nope, it aint, after prolonged exsposure to moisture, the joint WILL fail , So it will have to be sealed well  O0 O0
To be on the safe side, why don`t you use something like cascamite ,now that is waterproof :-))

Cascamite now seems to be called Resinmite http://www.agwoodcare.co.uk/gbu0-prodshow/resinmite.html?gclid=CMiru4f185oCFVOK3godplaMdg
or
Polymite http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cascamite-Powdered-Resin-Wood-Glue/dp/B0001OZI98

Don't know if there's any difference between these two.

Certainly Cascamite was (is) good stuff - easy to use and with a useful working time.

Aliiphatic resin is waterproof and it's a lot less bother than cascamite

'Titebond 3' (note 3) (green Label)

Stated to be totally waterproof except for items permanently under the waterline I have used it on the Huntsman build throughout.
What has impressed me about it is it's incredibly quick grab time.

Agreed, as yet to be tried on the water but if it lives up to its stated properties and there is no reason to suspect otherwise this is one excellent woodworking glue

Hope that helps - Ramon
