Here are some pictures of my collection of smaller plastic-kits, in various scales, from 1:108, to 1:700.

Hello Whitesand,

Very nice collection you have there. How do you go about painting them ? Brush or Spray ? Also what type of paint.

They look amazing.

They are Trumpeter's 1:350 "S.S.John Brown" liberty ship, and Revells old 1:400 T2-tanker "Esso Glasgow"

Rfa?, what does that letters mean?  :embarrassed:

I use ordinary spraycans for cars (!), and some Humbrol enamels for small parts. Also, some of the special colours i can mix myself, because i work at a carpaint facility, and have many years behind me as a car-painter. ;)

I thought one of them was uk but as you point out it is a liberty ship, usa, RFA stands for i believe ROYAL FLEET AUXILIARY, supply vessels, tankers etc

Hi there you have done a relay nice job on making those boat. I see you have one of my favorites Arktika . I have made her then made it rc, sails reasonably well. Next to Arktika you have an icebreaker with a red hull is that Lenin made by Novoexpoit of the USSR.

Second photo you've got the stern trawler Bodasteinur ( revel kit real trawler built as the Roc Amadour for France now renamed to Roc Amadour again and registered in the Faroes )

I've got my version of that kit almost ready to final build but I am toying with making it RC using a stripped down micro-servo for a motor

The red icebreaker is the japanese "Shirase", a kit made by Nichimo, in 1:450 scale.
I have been looking for the "Lenin", but have not had success in finding her yet... %)
I have been thinking of purchasing another "Arktika"-kit, and paint her superstructure in white/beige, and call her "russia".

BTW, the "Roc Amadour" is a Heller kit... ok2

Hi there.
thank you for the reply. Good luck on finding Lenin I was looking for 5 years then she turned up on Ebay for a good price.
Arktika has several sisters many to model  and 50 years of victory the news vessel is a stretched Arkita class am lead to believe..
