hi, does any one know if it is possible to get a 40.680 mhz crystal for a 40 mhz handset that will be compatble with a ready to run twin prop?

If you are talking about the r/c fitted in a RTR model, no the r/c in those models do not have any crystals in them. If you are looking for spare crystals for a particular set then start by looking at the traders section, Howes and Westbourne models both sell spare crystals.

hi, yes its a rtr says 40.680 mhz, would it work on a different handset with a match crystal in it?

Hi it is not possible to buy 40.680 crystals as all 40mhz crystals end in 5 ie 40.685 not 40.680.

Does the RX have a crystal?  If so, a new matched pair MIGHT work, if not, its new electronics territory.
