Cornwall Model Boats/Royal Mail parcels...
« on: June 13, 2009, 09:09:11 am »

Just wanted to say a very public "Thank You" to Malcolm and all the guys at Cornwall Model Boats, and to the Royal Mail parcel service...I ordered the Titanic kit from Malcolm yesterday afternoon(after being badly let down by another well-known store)....it arrived here in Sussex just after 0830hrs this morning.

In these days of moans, groans and complaints I thought it may be nice to show my appreciation to two companies that really did their utmost to provide customer satisfaction.

Cornwall Model Boats....Royal Mail Parcel service....I thank you.

B****y Hell Rich....post at 08.30 hours........the posties are only just going into work around that time up here.......we're lucky to see our mail  befor 2.00pm most days, and I don't think they bother with you on a saturday if you've less than 6 letters to deliver..they carry them over till monday.

Know how you feel about Malc and his company though.
I ordered some Becc lettering by internet one sunday night not so long ago and they were with me tuesday morning( well afternoon really...but that's the post office for you.) <:( <:(
Brilliant service.....malcolm  :-)) O0 O0........................ NOT THE POST OFFICE {-) {-) {-).

I rang Cornwall Model boats before posting my first order to check my 'wish list' and got lots of great advice which saved me money! I have ordered from them several times since and have always received fantastic service!

Well done!

@U-33: I'm looking forward to hearing what you think of the kit and watching your build. It's on my radar as a 'To do'..

Why is it, when I order something from Malcolm at Cornwall Model Boats it arrives next day and when I order something from my local supplier in Bournemouth it takes a week to get here ?
Could it be the Post Office ?  {:-{

Would this be the same Post Office who've managed to lose just the one parcel in two years and who contrived to get a package from Nottingham to New Zealand in three days? Nah - there must be two of 'em! One of the large international carrier's local depot took two days just to collect another package from us for delivery to Australia..........(no names, no pack-drill, but three letters will do it). We'll stick with Postman Pat for everything except the very largest packages.

IMHO the delivery time is more down to when the goods are actually posted than when they are ordered. We are fortunate in having two reasonable POs within a mile of here (there used to be five) and we don't see the point of sitting on orders when the goods are in stock. Looks like Malcolm has the same outlook.
