This picture was taken on Saturday by ghost, while it was taken one of three things could have happened my camera went in, ghost went in or both went in thankfully none of that happened. Ghost this is a brilliant picture.

Richard,

Full set of photos will be sent to Martin for display on the Mayhem site. Some of the best ones are being included in my Model Boats report which I imagine will take a while to appear. Spent most of today fielding requests for specific shots! never got around to taking any pictures of my boats... :'(

I know its been said by others but I would like to add my thanks to Martin and Bradders for organising a genuinely pleasant day of sailing on Saturday.

It was great to be able to share the water with so many others -  without the petty "rules" so often associated with club events.

Everyone was friendly - and the little touches - welcome packs, free tea and barbecues were a breath of fresh air.

I know how much work goes in to organise an event like this - and I think you should be proud of what you achieved.

Lets hope this is going to be a regular event.

A thought for next time - how about a photo opportunity by having all the boats built to the same scale on the water at once?

Yet another big thank you to Martin, Bradders and of course their families for supporing them.

Saturday was superb, it was good to catch up with old and new faces.

What's a little rain on Sunday!

Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend, now i have dried out!

Kind Regards

Simon

Bradders I will agree with that idea, and if Bigfella cannot arrange a good enough lake, I can as we have 6 within ten kilometres of town and free parking, free coffee and tea and even sunshine, and at least 25 to 30 degrees temperature, and all Mayhemmers would be made welcome and there would also be free accommodation for all who come....

Bradders,

We can supply the use of at least 6 lakes in a ten kilometre radius of town, with free tea and coffee, as well as sunshine, but the biggest drawcard would be free accommodation for all ho attended, with the warmest weather and SUNSHINE...................

Hi All

I am told by 2772e Simon that the Highlander Puffer was made by a friend of his, Martin Spencer. It took Martin 5 years to complete.
It was his first model, looked really good also sailed well

Hi Guy, sorry for the repetative cd in my van saturday night, I had just got myself dry and it was raining outside and also I couldn't be bothered to get off my backside and go outside to change it ;D ;D also if I put my beer down it would have slowed up my drinking somewhat!!!!!

THE VIDEO.

Video shots of the Saturday can be accessed at the link below.   If you want to view it more than once PLEASE download it to your computer and view it from there - Right click the link and then choose " save target as"  to a folder on your computer.  (I have hosted it on my genealogical site and bandwidth is fairly limited)

It is a 1.4Mb file and runs for 10mins 42 secs.  It would be longer but I could not sail all my boats AND video at the same time  :D

Hope you enjoy it.
