help need with the -Deansmarines City of Ely
« on: July 03, 2009, 03:28:49 pm »

A Deansmarines City of Ely liberty ship has recently came in to my possesion , it is in need of a bit of TLC and a repaint , the only pic I can find on the internet is a not so good one on Deanies website.

Do any of you guys have any pics of one or have built one or know a website with pics of the ship.

Many Thanks , Paul.

Paul,

Have you contacted Ron Dean himself at "Deans"? He can be very helpful and providing you accept that he is under no obligation to help (I am presuming you are not his customer) and if you offer to cover modest, reasonable costs who knows what he may be prepared to do.

What is it that you want to know? Is your query purely about the (model) kit, or wanting info on Liberty ships in general? BY.

Its the colour scheme mainly , the model Ive got looks as if it has been painted in oil based paint then gone over in cellulose so its `crazed and wrinkled , I want to wet and dry this paint off and start again but not sure of the colours to use.
