On a recent trip to Dover I noticed that the Seacats which were using the old Hovercraft site and building were no longer there and the booking area was in the stage of being demolished..
Anyone have an idea what is happening there ?

The Seacat Ireland and Hoverspeed Cross Channel services operated by Sea Containers Ferries Ltd are no longer running.

I've heard there is alot of redevelopment going on in Dover at the moment for a new ferry terminal. The withdrawl of the Sea Containers operated services may be to do with their ongoing financial issues.
