Replacing the whole unit costs less than a tenner,as you know....it's broken.
If you open the box you might find visible damage to one of the drive transistors.You might be in luck and it is just a fused track.
If you can't see the damage then it takes only takes a digital meter and google search engine or someone who can fix them and has the replacement parts.
