It was from this forum that I learned of the technobots site - the only place I could locate a certain component.
The question is, would anyone know how to open an email account with them? There is a dedicated login page, but it seems nowhere from which to first creat a new account. Would appreciate any help with this, or if anyone can point me in the right direction.
Tnx for reading.

I don't think you need to create an account- just place an order :-)) Please note that they have a £10 minimum order.

Thanks for the speedy reply.
Yeah, I've ordered from them a couple times already. No problem other than I don't want the hassle of repeating the credit card details over and over. Some suppliers allow you login to your user account, from where all your previouse details are stored. Do you know if Technobots operate a same service?

PMK,

I think, (but not certain) that there is an option to 'Save my Details' on the order page. Its a long time since my first order with them ok2 I'm also not sure if that preserves your credit card details.

is that actually a good idea though - to have credit card details recorded. filling in the form each time is a pain but maybe a safer way of doing it.

I totally agree, better to be safe than sorry, whats a little inconvenience compared to having your card details logged with a company that you may only use now and again, which may not be as secure as you think,
A member of the Boat Club that i,m in,just last week, had £21,000 taken from his account after he,d logged his card details with a "secure" site, turns out someone was able to get his wife's details, then they applied to their bank and got a new MInt card posted to an address in Coventry, and within a week the thieves got away with £21,000 of goods,
I,d rather have the inconvenience, than being ripped off,

The way I see it, the bank has my details. I sometimes use Internet Banking, so no doubt my c/c details are splashed all over cyberspace anyway. I've had no reason to complain where Technobots are concerned, and I wouldn't like to think that they're about to start thieving from my account -- same goes for each and every component supplier I've used to date.

Barriew: Thanks for that.
To be honest, there is no way of telling if they have a 'Save My Details' link until AFTER you've entered the relevent details. I'll keep an eye open for it the next I pop an order in.

Tnx again.
