I watched movie We Dive at Dawn, and I was wondering if somebody knows what is real name of submarine starring in there. I thought it was S class I group, but few details are different (or modified) and according to Encyclopaedia of British Submarines, few were sunk in 43. And P-61 was HMS Varangian (U-class)

What on earth has happened to this thread? Surely somebody, somewhere has taken a pic of an interesting ship during the last few weeks? But, please, not another Ferry. How about one of the older Trinity House jobs? There must have been some around the IOW recently. No Russian fish-factory ships doing the "Local Hero" bit? No non-UK warships visiting our shores? I must admit that nothing of interest (that I've seen) has visited the Tyne recently....unless you think that a large "bulker" from Australia or the USA carrying coal to the Tyne is of interest.....and then loading all my McEwans empties for re-cycling in China. Think of the fuel costs!
And, finally, there must be at least one Grey painted ship leaving a port in the last 6 weeks. Or is there? BY.
