Whats your opinion?  Is it good value for money?
I have just about finished my Imara tug and want to build another submarine thinking of 'doing' Kricks Type VII U boat.  Any opinions would be welcome.
I really want to do a Brit S or T but the OTWs S class is just about out of my reach money wise and I can't find a T (thats a 1944 T!!!).

I do think that this is based on the old HFM type 7 that was about 13yrs ago, I and Steve Juden have one of them and mine is still working to this day, thanks to a lot of work done by Alf Blake.

I think the only sub HFM did was the Deep Dive 6 which was quite different. Lot of people have reported leaks and problems with the Krick kit, though as your experienced you should not have a problem sorting things out.

I've had a good look at the Krick boat, as there is a chap who runs one at my Dive-in's. I'll be totally honest and say I wouldn't buy one personally. If I was in the market for a small scale Type VII I would be looking at a Revell Type VII, and a conversion kit. This boat looks far more scale, and you will have a proper pressure resistant dive cylinder.

You have two good conversion kits out there to choose from.

Caswell does a great package, and Norbert Bruggen does a nice conversion. They're both static divers, but use different systems.

if you're inclined to do a little more work yourself, you could look at BigDave's conversion WTC's.
