George Turner 1/24 Scale PT Boat
« on: August 10, 2009, 02:07:34 pm »

I am looking for information on the George Turner 1/24 scale PT Boat.
I have just checked it out from my loft and it looks superb.
Any ideas of when it was produced and the cost?

Try contacting George, his email address is on his website which he is updating at present. I saw him at Southend yesterday.

You've had that a long time Bob, George wasn't even making it when he packed up doing boats.

I know, it is amazing what I have in my loft.
I might thin a few more out, just wanting to find out more about it.
Its an untouched kit, looks superb though.

I've got a pic of George Turners MTB at Warwickshire Int. Model boat show Nov '05, price £135 which if I remember right inc Graupner 400 speed motor.

Easy build and goes like a rocket.

I think you'll find its approx 1/40 scale

Mine is the much larger 1/24 Scale and the recommended motors are 2 x Graupner 500's or 600's

George has changed his email, which may account for the lack of reply.

He would, I'm sure be mortified to know that he was seen as giving poor service, and I generally get him on the phone
