Make sure your 'number plates' are either pop riveted or fixed with one way screws. The latest scam is to nick you plates, fix to their car, fill up and do a runner. The garage cctv (or owner writes down) your plates number. You receive the threat, they get a free tank of fuel.
Be warned.

A dim wit in out state Gov't, wants to put GPS traclkng devices in all motor vehicles, so that owners can be taxed per kilometre of road usage.
I thought thats what our petrol taxes were for.

Thankfully, I,m not affected by all these price rises,I,m running my 2.9 diesel 4 x 4 on WVO,"waste Veg oil"which costs me approx 10p per litre,in the winter time, i pay more as i run 50% veggie, and 50% diesel,
the only downside is,i smell like a mobile chip shop,

in NZ premium petrol is 70p/litre. diesel is 43p/litre but you have to pay road user charges as well which brings it up to around 57p/litre. the average wage is supposedly 400 pounds/week but i dont know many people that earn that much. i dont and i'm in a trade. how do these figures compare with other MBM members around the world.

In UK,at the moment petrol costs anything between 101.9p to 110p a litre, diesel is the same, the Government Tax is approx 78p per litre,
We are an oil producer
Road tax is as low as £25 per year, for cars that have a low carbon footprint, rising to £400 per year for the biggies

I don't know if you lot remember when this country was under the Thatcherite junta, but all the revenue made off North Sea oil only covered the cost of everybody she put on the dole!.

Read in todays papers that there's currently ten super tankers moored off the coast somewhere and the will not discharge their cargos untill the 1st of September when the fuel prices go up due to the last budget

What's the point of that? The extra money is tax and goes to the Government - not the oil companies.
