Hi Everyone,
Could anyone suggest somewhere to buy a racing boat kit and how much it would cost?

Thanks
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

OK a few questions...

Do you want Electric or IC?
Can you run IC (Nitro) boats on your local lake?
Do you want a kit or "ready to run"?
What have you seen on websites that you like?

Martin.

Hi Martin,
Well really I want to be looking at an electric racing boat and really I would like a kit that I could build myself. I have had a look at some of your boats and quite like the PIRANHA model that you have shown. I looking for something that is cheap and runs nicely, something that I can go have fun at the lake with.

Hi Daniel

Take a look at the Club 500 from Model Slipway. Nippy, fun and easy to build. Not too expensive either.

Cheers

Try a `Slingshot`!   Available from Howes and others.

Daniel.........

You would have to check with your local club to see if they race the Club 500 class. There are many clubs throughout the country who race these great little boats but the class isn't a nationally recognised one. By that I mean there isn't a national chanpionship in Club 500. My own club hold an annual series for Juniors and Seniors but that's as far as it goes.
Have fun,
Ian.

Hi Ian,
the club that I'm with currently holds various club 500 races through the year so if I do build one it shouldn't be to hard to get permission to race it.

That's great Daniel, I hope you have a bunch of fun. I'm sure you will enjoy racing. There should be plenty of folks around to help you with building if you need it but as I remember the instructions are OK but you can get some help from here.......if you need it.
